Hello there! Today, I'm super excited. A new gadget has come to my kitchen and let me tell you something: I think I won't be able to survive without it anymore. Sometimes, there are some companies that send me products to taste or cook with so I can give my reviews to you all and this what happened a couple weeks ago. JOLYcake reached me and after a nice chat we decided to work together and this is what came out. I made a Strawberry Cake also known as Freezer Torte. As you can see, I used the collards that JOLYcake sent me. If you like to cook JOLYcake collars will become one of your must have for many reasons. For me they are perfect for my ice cakes, no-bake cakes, cheesecakes... even for salty recipes... They are clean, they hold the shape perfectly, doesn't move or create a mess. Since you adapt them to your needs, you can make cakes as big as you want; no matter if you are if it's a 15 cm cake or 28 cm. I like them? Totally. In fact, I've been thinking what to cook next with them and so far, a Whisky cold-cake and something salty has came to my mind... Enjoy!

I was really looking forward using the JOLYcake™ collars, as I often prepare layer cakes and I needed something that will make my cake look much more professional. One of the thing that surprised me was that I actually could make a layer cake that is taller than the ring mold I use. Of-curse there was no problem taking the cake out of the mold- the collar stood still- and then I just peeled the collar so easily, it was just perfect- everything stayed in place and was super clean! The other thing I love about it is that I could just cut it to the size I wanted to fit which ever cake I wanted to make, so I also did small personal layer cheese cakes. Both the large cake and the personal once turned out to be a great success! Everyone complemented me for the presentation, and the flavor as well 😉 Great product! I'll definitely be using these on my cakes in the future.

I was contacted by JOLYcake™ to test out one of their cake collars… something that I had never used before… but am now completely sold on the idea. “What is a cake collar?” you ask… They are normally a clear acetate plastic strip that goes around cakes & desserts to hold the filling in. It also makes baking cleaner!!! I placed mine around the edge of my springform tin before pouring in the batter to bake and when the cake was cooked – it was easy to lift the cake collar off … leaving no crumbs on/in my tin!! Would I make the cake again? Yes… Would I use JOLYcake™ cake collars again? Also yes!

Another thing that makes me (and every warm-blooded sentient being) very happy is cake. Especially a cake I don’t even have to bake! When JOLYcake™ sent me their cake collars, I knew my time had come to try my hand at an icebox cake. I loved the cake collar!
